DAY 365+104

exuberant aridity

why should we escape from contradictions,

assign tags,

try to define happiness?

Everything can happen

Everything is possible

As nature conquers the most unexpected spaces,

as the gorse broke the lava rocks and awaits flowering,

I have conquered my own territory

broken my resistance

and finally from the wounds, the blooms are emerging

wildly alive

I agree...I don't think happiness can be defined...it's abstract and it's a "feeling" or a state of mind. Wonderful writing :)

Kind of a natural, seasonal, cyclical way of thinking about happiness.

Yes! Our wounds are fertile ground.

Wanted to tell you that this is a post that I shared recently with a friend whose wife had recently died. This poem is soooo meaningful about this woman, and really touched this man to read it.
