DAY 249

lastingness

How many days I´ve been living in this space as an outer piece of it?

More than two thousand days I´ve been here. First, I painted the furniture and then I have added layer upon layer of thoughts, emotions, actions

I have moved objects around the room, I have cleaned and enjoyed special celebrations and random meals. I´ve been sitting there with friends and family and even with my cats, I have laugh a lot and cry a bit. I have played dominoes and I´ve made some crafts. I have packed birthday gifts and had a cup of tea while I was looking through the windows observing clouds, sky and moon, birds and the unstoppable advance of seasons...

So much so that I feel that I am now part of it. My energy is melted into that table and chairs leaving an indelible trace. I will vanished behind time one day, but every simple splinter of this table (and every simple fragment of the room, the house, the city and the whole universe) will keep a tiny part of my essence that will remain forever as cottony feathers pinning in the buttonhole of time

...And wherever my soul may be, a little smile will bloom in the center of her heart every time the wind will rustle the memories of this life I am living now

Nice writing and a perfect response to the challenge.

This is lovely, and the sentiment is one that makes me think of a line from a book that I have loved from OUT OF AFRICA.... "will a color that I have worn someday shimmer above the plains"... ( or close to that). Lovely post!
